Cherry Gilchrist

Cherry Gilchrist has written nearly thirty books for publishers such as Piatkus, Arkana, Harper Collins, Penguin and Weiser.

These are mostly in the ‘creative non-fiction’ genre with subjects ranging from family history to Tarot and Russian mythology.

Cherry has always combined writing with a variety of other types of work, wherever her curiosity has led her, from singing early music to running a Russian craft gallery.

In the last decade, she’s also taught creative writing, especially life-story writing, including regular online courses for the Universities of Oxford and Exeter.

Other writing has included ‘readers’ for students of English, magazine articles and now a regular blog, Cherry Cache, which covers a range of themes from alchemy to meeting Mick Jagger!

Cherry and artist husband Robert Lee-Wade live in Topsham, the old port for Exeter. Her author’s website is at www.cherrygilchrist.co.uk.
