Cherry Gilchrist

Cherry Gilchrist has combined writing with a variety of other work, wherever her curiosity has led her, from singing early music to running a Russian craft gallery. Her books are mostly in the ‘creative non-fiction’ genre with subjects ranging from family history to Tarot and personal relationships. Publishers include Piatkus, Batsford, Arkana, Penguin and Red Wheel Weiser. In the last ten years she’s also taught creative writing, especially life-story writing, in diverse venues from cruise ships to university online courses. And after circling restlessly around the West Country since the 1980s, Cherry and artist husband Robert Lee-Wade have finally settled in Topsham, and vow to move no more.
