About Exeter Writers

Exeter Writers is an exciting, welcoming group of writers who wish to improve their craft through discussion and critique. We've been long established, and draw upon a broad spectrum of writing experience.

We meet once a fortnight in Exeter but our members come from east, west and south Devon as well as Exeter. Potential members may apply for membership and are asked to submit work that will be assessed by our Reading Committee - please see our website for details.

At the end of 2007 we published an anthology of our work - short stories, poems, novel extracts and illustrations - which won joint first prize in the David St John Thomas annual Writers' Circle Anthology Trophy whose results were announced on 30 April 2008.

If you would like to get a taste of what we do and who we are, you can order your own copy of EXPOSURE by going to www.lulu.com (#1939581) where you can either download it or order a printed copy (ISBN 978-1-84799-619-0) Some of the proceeds from the anthology are being donated to cancer research.
